Important Notice about Permittable Abstracts for Social Media Coverage at the 88th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society

　The 88th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society (hereinafter referred to as “the Meeting”), in principle, prohibits the use of cameras and videorecorder etc. to record abstract presentations in view of copyright protection of research publications. Exceptionally, photography of slides will be allowed on the conditions that such slides are of the permittable abstracts which the speakers have given express permission to post online (excluding the Regular Abstracts, Co-Sponsored Seminars, and Case Reports) and that all participants in the Meeting have given permission to do so for promotional purposes.
　Notwithstanding, you are hereby reminded that online posts of any kind about the Meeting abstracts may receive severe criticism from within and outside the Society, and you may potentially be deemed as in infringement such as personal data breaches, defamation, violation of privacy, and violation of confidentiality policy etc.

If any violation of the laws above among others is found, the Japanese Circulation Society will take stringent measures such as requesting for disclosure.

　For this reason, the Society wishes to inform all participants how to post permittable abstracts online and important rules. We would like to ask all participants who wish to get involved in online promotional efforts for the 88th Annual Meeting to comply by the following information about the use of social media.

　Abstracts that the speakers have given express permission to post online will be displayed with the star symbol (★) on each session information page on JCS Abstracts App. Participants may take photographs of abstract slides with the star symbol (★) and post the images on their social media platforms with the hashtag #24JCS.Please read the Past Promotional Post for Reference and the below important notice before posting.

●Only images of permittable slides will be allowed for posting on social media.
Please note that you may only take photographs of permittable slides. Before posting online, check if the abstract in concern is permittable for social media coverage on JCS Abstracts App, and please add the hashtag #24JCS in your post. In addition, you are respectfully requested to refrain from using a flash or shutter sound when taking photos that may interfere with the lecture.

●Safe use of social media in view of copyrights protection
Posting of images from TV or articles from a newspaper/magazine will not be permitted. Please ensure that your posts are in compliance with the latest relevant laws and regulations.

●Safe use of social media in view of protection of personal data
Posts that infringe on breaches of personal data may lead to violation of the law. Please ensure to respect privacy of others in your online posts.

●Please refrain from slander or any acts that infringe on honor and other rights, transmission of content that offends public order and morals, and transmission of content that offends social norms (such as discriminatory remarks etc.).
